Month: March 2018

With the summer fast approaching, making the most of those sunny Saturdays has never been so crucial. After a long stint in Europe during February, I was very ready to get back to Dubai’s Spring sunshine and catch up on all the things that I had missed during my rather long ‘work’ trip. After a few miserably cloudy days to welcome me back to Dubai life, last Saturday was full on sunshine, so on a friend’s recommendation we decided to check out the city’s latest beach club, DRIFT. s u n s h i n e ☀️ s o a k i n g A post shared by Doodle Diaries DXB (@doodlediariesdxb) on Mar 4, 2018 at 7:50pm PST A stylish, yet understated retreat, where luxury beach chic meets casual simplicity, DRIFT ticked all our boxes for the perfect Saturday sanctuary, with its laid back yet vibrant ambience. They are definitely smooth operators, and everything from the moment you arrive to the moment you leave runs seamlessly, from collecting you in a buggy from your car to …

The Atlantic, Souk Al Bahar: Located in the heart of downtown Dubai, The Atlantic Dubai is set against the backdrop of the beautiful Burj Khalifa, and situated along the Souk Al Bahar’s extensive waterfront promenade overlooking the majestic Dubai fountains – it is probably the best views of the fountains you will get (unless you stand on the promenade, which let’s be honest, is no fun without a drink!). Whilst Mango Tree looked a bit tired, the new The Atlantic interiors are definitely nothing short of snazzy! The light and airy decor is in shades of white, blues, greens and golden, with marbled walls, long sofas breaking up the room and amazing light fixtures dotted around the room. Green ombre coloums stand tall throughout the room and the bar, with open kitchen views, provides entertainment all night long! Outside is the main star of the show though and when we stepped onto the terrace of The Atlantic, we were blown away by the views. Staying true to the concept of its Australian sister restaurant, the Souk Al Bahar …

With 2018 in full swing and resolutions still in tact, I was on the hunt for Dubai’s best facial – something that would give my skin the TLC it needed and prepare it for three weeks of brutal European winter. With 6 branches pampering women in prime locations across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, Sisters Beauty Lounge’s newest salon at Jumeirah Beach Residences in Dubai is by far my favourite spot to chill and their new ‘Thirst Quencher’ facial provided the perfect remedy to help plump up my skin ahead of the freezing temperatures. This relaxing, “no downtime” treatment infuses skin with the restorative and uplifting benefits of peptides, growth factor activators, and proteins. With a team of expert facialists on hand, the experience is a pleasant one from start to end, and because Sister’s is not part of a hotel, you get all the 5-star treatment without the 5-star price tag! The stunning branch on JBR is quaint and cosy and is conveniently located just a hop, skip, and a jump away from the bustling beachfront of The Walk. …
