Living in a city that never sleeps definitely has its advantages – one clear fact being that it’s quickly becoming home to some of the world’s most celebrated restaurants, the latest being the international steakhouse favourite, STK.

With venues in London, Vegas, and Ibiza, the international STK franchises have built up quite the reputation, merging incredible steak and a fine-dining-meets-party atmosphere. Boosting many celebrity clientele across the world, the chic interiors of STK have seen many familiar faces over the years including the likes of Adam Sandler, Hailey Baldwin and Courtney Cox.

Located just off The Walk, JBR, at the all-new Rixos Premium Dubai, we arrived at 7.30 on a Wednesday night to a relatively busy venue, with people propped up at the bar and others tucking into juicy steaks on the raised platform.


With a chic vibe, upmarket interiors and a trendy New York edge, the restaurant features a 220-seat capacity. Twisting an industrial-chic warehouse style with the glitz and glam of Dubai flair, the restaurant uses a muted palette of textures in a trendy décor. The multihued lighting system creates an ambience for every occasion, with rounded corners and soft curves adding an elegant finish to the refined leather booths. The bright interior offers a variety of seating options to cater for all, including an outdoor area, perfect for those balmy evenings under the stars.


Sat, cocktail in hand, we perused the menu, featuring several of the brand’s signature dishes, along with a number of exciting new ones, exclusively created for the Dubai location. With something for everyone, there are salads, starters, steaks and fish. With the various cuts of tender, juicy beef undoubtedly the star of the show, the wide selection of toppings, sauces and sides share the spotlight.

Serving premium quality USDA prime beef, STK steaks are famous for their big flavours – and my o my they really didn’t disappoint. Offering a wide selection of cuts, choose from smaller fillets and tender striploins to such larger cuts as the Ribeye, T-bone or Tomahawk. We started with a delicious dish of Grilled Octopus followed by a Cobb Salad – initially thinking it was a bad choice, I quickly changed my mind – the chopped lettuce combined with all the ingredients worked wonders – salad done spectacularly!

For mains, we shared a perfectly tender tenderloin and a fillet of salmon (which sadly wasn’t as exciting). The sides however made the meal great! The famous Mac&Cheese and Parmesan Truffle Chips definitely didn’t disappoint. We finished with a trio of sorbets – a light ending to our indulgent meal.

Far from your standard steakhouse, STK JBR’s resident DJ takes the decks each night, meaning there’s no shortage of dancing after, or over dinner!
